Use this chamois to keep your gage blocks clean. After using the gages, wipe them all over with this chamois, holding the gages in such a manner that the hands and fingers never come in contact with the blocks. When placing the gages back in their case, do not touch the gages with your hands. Also useful for applying rust preventative Starrett M-1 oil when blocks are not in use. If the gages are going to be stored overnight or be taken out of use, dampen the chamois with M-1 oil, and wipe them all over, then return them to the case once again without touching the blocks.
